Day 2 of the 83rd National FFA Convention and we were a part of over 50,000 FFA members celebrating their “Infinite Potential!” This morning, we attended the 1st Session of the Convention and were reminded on how to be a person with infinite potential. How? The best way was to be bold, be strong, and live your passion! Josh Shipp, keynote speaker, and host of the TV show, Jump Shipp, encouraged us to avoid being “average.” While laughing through the presentation, the message of “be bitter, or get better” was clearly defined. We all have situations that are not ideal, however, we get to decide how we will respond to those situations, and that will define us. For more information about Josh Shipp, you can check him out at www.joshshipp.com and also www.andagoat.com. In the second session, Eastern Region Vice President, Alex Henry, inspired us as she gave her retiring address, “More than Emotion.” However, the day was not all speakers and sessions, we enjoyed exploring the career show with 100s of college and businesses that gave us cool FREE stuff! Tonight we all enjoyed relaxing after a delicious dinner at Noodles. Garrett is now the master of the chopsticks!
